France Axe Commercial

Just watch. Then, you'll almost certainly watch it again....

I noticed most of them the first time through, the one in the shower was creepy. I take exception to the run on the rug who isn't shown until just before the reveal.

Even the ones I didn't actually see, I'd pegged the locations for.

I was too busy looking at (and I'd of course adjust for cultural differences in fashion) the extreme hipster-ness of all the clothing everywhere.

I only noticed a person there right before the reveal on the rug (at which point I was probably supposed to).

Did the text imply that women will hide if you don't smell good? If nothing else definitely a more subtle Axe commercial.

Hmm I think the execution of the ad is cool, but I'm not comfortable with the women-are-decoration idea.

I don't think the implication was that they are decorations, rather that if he'd been more awake he'd have noticed them hiding around his apartment. The translations, assuming these are correct as they came from another site, is:

In English, the three supers read:
Well, look at this guy. (@ 0:03)
He missed 10 gorgeous girls. (@ 1:02)
Apparently, you too. (@ 1:07)
Wake Up and Stand Ready (@ 1:34)

Axe: "Stop those hot ladies from blending into the woodwork! Have 10 ladies magically appear in your apartment!"

The beginning "Regarde bien ce mec" (take a good look at this guy) is a deliberate attempt to focus our attention on the guy, waiting for him to do something, and away from the wallflower ladies.

I did see the woman in white on the wall but thought she was a poster. I expected her to act like the US commercials and come to life to sniff him.
