The only thing more delicious than a breakfast burrito is a breakfast burrito for dinner.

I'm sitting here and watching the rain fall on the rooftops of the houses on the street facing mine, and on one unfortunate cat, and steam is curling round from the side of my house, mingling with the rain, and it's making me feel really happy and content. My dad gave me his old desk, which squeezes in between the end of my bed and the wall, facing a window.

I've been very busy and I'm up to the elbow in paint, surrounded by screaming toddlers (it's amazing how you can be surrounded by only two people, but toddlers manage), but now I'm very peaceful and not even remotely giving a hoot about an interview tomorrow, as much as I'd like the job. Rain is so calming and cosy!

Also, Swordmasters name and avatar. The Secret of Monkey Island had fantastic art! I'll have to root it out from my game collection ...

I've had my new digital camera for a few years, and I've wanted to tinker with the Windows Movie Maker but can't because the camera makes *.mov files and WMM doesn't read that format.

Just for the heck of it, for a few days now I've been looking for trustworty, free software that will convert the *.mov files *.avi format.

With a little snooping on my own computer, I've discovered that I already have the software I need. It came with the camera! I've had what I needed the whole time.

Ok that part is probably a "Little Thing That Annoys Me," but this "Little Thing That Makes Me Happy" overrides that.

Teaching the Peanut how to play Clue. The 3 of us played 4 games on Saturday. It was such fun.

Last Wednesday's xkcd comic. Probably the best one yet.

I've been looking at it for almost a half hour now and haven't seen all of it.

The Landlord turned the heat on today. I didn't know at first because the rads are off in the living room and bedroom, but the one in the bathroom is permanently on. My towels were toasty and warm this morning.

I guess that means the cat will be hanging out in the bathroom today with her head on the pipes.

I spotted a sheep dressing up as a Dalek in a Shaun the Sheep episode this weekend. There was a quick shot of it trying to roll up the stairs and failing. Much geek happiness was had in my family.

My (5 year old) niece can surround you all by herself...

Watching 5 year olds play football. The concentration involved in passing the ball is phenomenal.

I saw Florence and the Machine in concert last night. It was fantastic. I made eye contact with Florence. She is a goddess.

I had a meeting today that I was sure was going to ruin my day. In attendance was "Kirk the Jerk", who always manages to, in some small, but endearing way, let me know that he is way more important than me and that he still thinks I am a tech (which I never was). I went in today vowing not to let him get to me. I even managed to say at one point "Oh, come on, Kirk!". I have been unbelievably smug about that all day.

That's good. There was a glitch for me which meant I couldn't see the top of the mast with the guy ropes, and I'd not looked around in the sky for things there, but I'd managed to see all the rest of it. There was a lot of dragging involved, though...

Learning I Will Wait from Mumford & Sons' new album on the ukulele.

I practiced so long and so enthusiastically last night (and this morning) that my voice is hoarse and my fingers hurt.

But I love this song so hard.

When my ER doc friend posts Facebook statuses like this:

"My day is complete when I can instruct a patient not to pee on, or have someone else pee on, a body part."
