Saw this in a comment on HuffPost today and when I searched "executive
orders" there was a veritable flood of sites promulgating this vile
nonsense - obviously another attempt to spread a big lie to terrify the
gullible.

What a relief to see your site had already addressed it! Of course I
shared the link.

If you were a nonprofit, I'd contribute. If you were single, I'd marry
you. As it is, I'll have to content myself with visiting you frequently
and loving you from afar.

You must be helping keep health care costs down by reducing blood
pressures by the thousands every day. I know you've helped mine.

e-mail that is suspect....I pull it up on snopes. 95% of the time snopes

political persuasions) asking me to forward "that stuff" to everyone I
know. Before being tempted to do so (very rarely) I check out the item
and usually find that you have already exposed it for what it really is.
Shocking sometimes what floats around the internet - posing as the truth.

Comment: As the lone liberal in an ultra-conservative company, and a
minority Democrat in Utah, I have been overwhelmed with e-mails containing
the latest "facts" about Obama. I have neither the time nor the resources
to refute the stories and have just hit delete and kept my mouth
shut...until Snopes.com. A couple of keys words in search, an 'e-mail
this' to the source, and the truth is out there complete with origins,
authors, and substantiated statistics. Lovely!

Sadly, I have found that many people don't care if something is true
or not (b.s. makes for better copy) as long as it confirms a preconceived
belief. Even so, at least I can make a well informed and diplomatic
reply.

Thank you for the nonpartisan approach to the truth. FACTS should
never be red, blue, or tea-colored. They should just be TRUE.

Comment: Thank-you so much for this website. My husband and I have gone
around in circles for years about politics, and while I don't have the
legal expertise to sift thru thousands of pages of government websites, I
appreciate that your website includes the links right to the actual
references. My husband gets dozens of radical right-wing emails from his
friends every day. Every now and then I get an email from him that seems
so outrageous as to defy common sense. My husband is a generous, kind
person and I've tried to tell him over the years that these emails which
never seem to contain any factual proof from secondary sources are
changing him. The radical acts displayed by people start by someone
believing in something based on a rumor or opinion. Your website may not
bring world peace, but I feel it's one step in that direction.
