Family Feud curse

Comment: Hi, last night my husband and I were watching some YouTube clips
of old Family Feud episodes. I made the comment that there have been quite
a few hosts of Family Feud and he said "Well, yeah. There is a curse on
the hosting job. Every host has had something terrible happen to him after
he started working on Family Feud." So that's my question. Has something
terrible happened to every host of Family Feud?

Richard Dawson died from throat cancer at the age of 79.
Ray Combs was left in severe pain from an accident and hung himself.
Louie Anderson does not appear to have had any major issues (aside from a blackmailing) since his hosting career.
Richard Karn is still working as a game show host and doesn't appear to have had any major problems.
John O'Hurley has apparantly done pretty well for himself since the hosting.
Steve Harvey has had no major issues (aside from some foot-in-mouth) since starting as host.

So, of 6 hosts, two have died. One was of throat cancer, not a huge surprise for a smoker. Only one had situations that could be decribed as curse-related.

In addition, Richard Dawson died decades after the show went off the air (he died in June of this year). If there was a curse, it sure took its sweet time in striking him down.

Anderson's blackmailing began in "the late 1990s," and he reported it to law enforcement in 2000 when the blackmailer's demands increased (per Wiki). He began hosting FF in 1999 and left in 2002. So the blackmailing didn't happen after his hosting stint.

Dawson lived longer than the average male smoker does, and he met his wife of 31 years while hosting FF. Curse?
