Comment: A friend of a "facebook friend" claims: "My boyfriend used to
sell guns (legitimately at a store) and he was doing a background check on someone trying to buy one and it came out the customer had an unpaid ticket for walking his dog without a leash. Since the ticket was unpaid he was DENIED a gun and ARRESTED on the spot. Just for an unpaid ticket. That's pretty strong if you ask me." The idea that a person trying to purchase guns can be arrested "on the spot" for an unpaid fine for a minor municipal infraction sounds like an urban myth to me. |

Comment: I have heard that casinos can and do scan patrons wallets and
purses, and know how much money they are carrying. This doesn't sound possible to me, but hey! you never know, or at least I never know! |

Comment: Did Disney tell audiences that Lindsay Lohan played both sisters
in the parent trap after her twin sister(in real life), Kelsey Lohan, was murdered? Plus, Disney covers it up? |

Interesting story. Too bad she never had a sister named Kelsey.

Why would they do that when Hayley Mills played both roles in the original version of the film?

I think the idea goes like this:
1) Disney casts twin girls to play twins in movie (easier than all the camera tricks if you can find twin actresses). 2) One of the twins is murdered after filming but before release of the movie. 3) Rather than admit that murder exists, Disney obliterates all mentions of the dead sister's name and claims the surviving sister played both parts. IOW, it was the murder they were covering up, not the fact that one person played twins. |

Uh oh, I think we have a serial killer loose! It must be the same person who killed Hayley Mills' twin sister and Patty Duke's identical cousin. I'm certain of it!

![]() The orginal film was certainly before I was born, but we got it on video for my 14th birthday party. Was they an earilier remake in the 80's or 90's where they did use twins? I will search for it....Just give me a few mins. |

Were you thinking of the TV show Sister, Sister, where twin sisters seperated at birth meet each other by chance?

Comment: I have been told that the University of Chicago has a receipt
from a goldsmith/jeweler that shows Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church, bought golden plates or tablets before his pronouncements regarding the Mormon Church. The story goes on to say the University will not allow the public viewing of the receipt. This does not pass the sniff test in my opinion. |

Comment: I heard a rumor that Jared Fogle from the Subway commercials
didn't actually lose the weight he claimed; he has a twin brother whose image was used as the "before" picture. Is this true? |

Comment: My sister told me that the reason Apple doesn't let users remove
the battery from their iPhone is that the National Security Agency asked them to. She told me to check Snopes. I have and could find no reference to this. I think it's nonsense. Was I using the wrong search term? |

Comment: During the Miss America pageant that was broadcast on 1/12/13,
Miss South Carolina played the piano for the talent portion of the contest. However, it appeared that the piano music heard did not correspond with the keys she was (or was not) pressing - especially when a glissando was heard. In other words - it appeared like a bad lip synch - but on the piano. What was going on? Was there a second pianist in the orchestra playing along - making it sound like Miss South Carolina was playing it all herself? Or other? Thank you for looking into this. I'll see if I can submit a video. |
