Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, has this to
say to a delegation of international bankers in 1832: "Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time, and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out." |

I guess this was a fairly accurate Quote.
Jackson hated the BUS, and eventually destroyed it, according to some historians not out of any particular ideological purity but out of petty vindictivness against the Bank's supporters. You know, whenever people tell me that George W. Bush was the worst president in History I ask them what they know about Jackson, truly one of the most evil men in American History in my opinion. And look, he's on the $20, perhaps if W keeps up, he can get on the $21. |

Most folks can't remember the History of last year, if they bothered to know in the first place. Andy Jackson? He was the one 2 years older than Michael?
