What a very interesting story and great research from the outside and the Snopesters!
One thing I will say Jourdon had a lot more tact and restraint than I would have in that situation, at least on paper. Though you can definately read the irony and buried anger, but at the same time classiness in his words. My letter would have been only two words beginning in "F" and ending in "U"

Unsurprisingly, this was printed in last Sunday's Dayton Daily News. Interesting to put a face to it.
