Mister Ed Are donkeys really stubborn?

The question of whether donkeys are stubborn or simply "misunderstood" has been discussed at a conference held by a leading British university.

Moose

When I worked as a farrier, I trimmed the hooves of several donkeys. Some were sweet tempered and some were stubborn. The one thing I learned about donkeys and mules was that you had to always be patient. They can pick up on your moods quickly and react accordingly. And they kick a lot faster than a horse does.

A lot of the donkeys I handled so far were kept as petting zoo pets, or something to pretty up a paddock. In my experience, those donkeys usually aren't trained very well, and tend to do 'bad' things (Biting and kicking) that are normally trained out of horses.

And like NorthernLite said, they're smart little buggers
