A Scottish boat captain who says a sonar image he took of a large underwater object is the Loch Ness monster won the Best Nessie Sighting of The Year Award.

That has to be one of the most awkwardly worded sentences I've seen in a while. Changing it to "'The Best Nessie Sighting of the Year' award was given to a Scottish boat captain who took a picture of a sonar image of a large submerged object" or something similar would have been a lot better, IMO.

That is so weird! Yesterday, I won an award for the best picture of an invisible cat. But there's no cat in that picture, they said; well who's laughing now?

The Sun posted the image of the sonar. That sure look like Nessie to me as well as a lot of other things more mundane.
Is this grainy sonar image the elusive Loch Ness Monster? If this was the best sighting of the years, how bad were the runners up. May be this is one of the tall tail contest type things and he won for best evidence and story telling. |
