Comment: I saw a "pin" on Pinterest stating "Fun Fact: The voice of Mickey
& Minnie Mouse were actually married in real life." (yes, yes I know jsut
how reliable a source Pinterest is lol) To my knowledge Walt Disney,
himself, was the voice of Mickey Mouse but I've never heard anything about
his wife voicing any of the characters.

Minnie was first voiced by Walt Disney, the original voice of Mickey Mouse. Marjorie (Norton) Ralston, a Disney inker, took over in 1929. Then, from 1930 up until 1938, she was voiced by Marcellite Garner. Then from 1939 to 1947, and on the radio program, "The Mickey Mouse Theater of the Air", she was voiced by Thelma Boardman. Following this, from 1942 up to 1986 Ruth Clifford provided the character's voice. Now, as of 1986, Minnie is voiced by Russi Taylor, whose late husband Wayne Allwine provided Mickey's voice from 1977 up until his death in 2009. Her Japanese voice is by Yūko Mizutani.

Allwine, an Emmy Award-winning former sound effects editor and foley artist, died of complications of diabetes early Monday morning at UCLA Medical Center, said his voice-over artist wife, Russi Taylor.

The Glendale couple had a unique distinction: In 1991, Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, married Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse.
