We’re all a little weird

Every so often someone posts on Facebook a quote attributed to Dr Seuss that says:

'We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone
whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into
mutual weirdness and call it love.'

Even Amazon sell posters with this quote.

When trying to search for the origin of it - the actual text it came from or some source to cite - I stumbled across goodreads.com which has this version attributed to author Robert Fulgham:

'We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone
whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into
mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.'

There is no contact information provided on Fulgham's website and goodreads.com also has no attribution for the quote.

Anyone out there know the true source of this quote and where it came from?
