No, it simply will not happen. It's tape, not magic. The pressure would punch straight through it, there is no way that it would survive. Nothing short of a good weld will hold that pressure back.
Look at the mythbusters episode where they stop the air pump to a hard hat diver suit, and the diver simula is pushed into the helmet by the pressure, and you'll understand what that pressure can do. |

It still makes a good story. In racing, we choose our tape first by the color of the car, rec for my wife's Formula Ford and white for my SAAB 99 and secondly by how fast you are going to go, i.e. 100 mph tape, 150 mph tape or 200 mph tape.
