Comment: I just stumbled upon a rather audacious claim: That strong winds
not only can, but have sucked people out of tall buildings. "It has been a while since the ability to open windows existed on tall buildings. You can thank those that jumped from the buildings. "Actually you can thank the buildings designers for that. most skyscrapers suffer from updrafts, that could be strong enough to lift 120 pounds. Think about it, that cute secretary in those awesome heels, walks by the open window and gets sucked out of it because the wind shifts just right. It has happened." Now, if someone had actually fallen to their deaths after being sucked out of a window, surely it'll be in a newspaper somewhere... Enquiring minds want to know! |

Even when the windows do open on newer buildings, it's usually just a little bit. Definitely nothing big enough to fit a person.
