Comment: I just heard a story about a high profile Texas Lawyer that
advertised he could get anyone out of a DUI ticket and he defended a man who got his 5th DUI and he got the man found not-guilty. Then two days later that guy was in a car wreck and killed two teenage girls that ended up being the defense lawyer's daughters. I can't find anything about it on the internet. |

It's missing the "Jesus loves you" tagline.

Sounds like a Law and Order plot.

To make matters even worse, the lawyer would have been subject to discipline for violating Texas Disciplinary Rule of Professional Conduct 7.02(a)(2): "A lawyer shall not make a false or misleading communication about the qualifications or the services of any lawyer or firm. A communication is false or misleading if it: (2) is likely to create an unjustified expectation about results the lawyer can achieve...."
An advertisement like the one described, which guarantees a particular outcome, would blatantly run afoul this Rule. |
