When a ‘true story’ isn’t true

As you might have noticed from our correction, I ran an “urban legend” last week, saying telemarketers are about to obtain your cell-phone numbers (they’re not).

This “warning” has been kicking around the Internet for years, but since telemarketers are pet peeves of mine, I jumped to pass it along without checking it out.
