Disney Swan and Dolphin reversed?

Legend: Take a careful look at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. The giant rooftop statues don’t match the paint schemes and ornaments. The swans are on the building with the ocean waves and seashells. The dolphins are on the building with the leaves and park-like fountains. That’s because a helicopter crew installed the statues on the wrong buildings. The hotel company had to swap the names. The Swan became the Dolphin and the Dolphin became the Swan.

From the article:

Quote:
Some inappropriate changes have been made in the parks and resorts over the years because even Disney itself doesn’t always know or understand the story that is being told, so will do things without realizing how it’s affecting the rest of the story.

Or "Disney itself" doesn't actually care anymore.

Either Mr. Korkis is not the historical expert he presents himself as, or Disney is no longer interested in capturing/preserving it's history. Without more information, either scenario is equally likely; and I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

First time poster! Do I get a hazing?

I'm a big Disney nut...but have yet to have anyone explain to me why it's not called the Swan and Koi Fish. That's so not a dolphin.

Disney An Urban Legend about Disney’s Contemporary

Legend: “Disney’s Contemporary Resort was designed so that the rooms would be updated periodically by sliding them in and out like dresser drawers—but the structure settled, trapping the rooms in place.”

Read the interview - it's mentioned that they are dolphin fish, not the same kind of dolphins you might see performing at Sea World.
