A Chinese student appears to have been the butt of a somewhat strange prank following a nasty incident with a remote control.

![]() So he was drunk enough that he didn't notice a remote being put up his backside? Not good. Is my memory of human anatomy off or does it seem a bit high and diagonal to just be a bit in? ETA: What are the odds that the remote he was implanted with would be programmed to change channels on the exact tv they had in the hospital? Does that seem mildly implausable to anyone else? I've often said there is nothing but s*** on the TV - I'm proven right.

It IS pretty implausible that the remote would work on the ward's TV, but it's possible. What's even more implausible to me is that any IR would escape at all with the remote jammed that far up his works. Sounds like a touch of embellishment going on.

Yep, and even if they don't work perfectly, it's not uncommon for some functions to work. I've had some overlap between two different VCR's (different brands), which ended in me giving up and buying another VCR. I've also been able to use some functions on different TV's of the same brand.
Heck, they even sell universal off-remotes that will shut down just about anything with a button press. Surely, there can't be that many variations if they work. Quote:
Maybe, but just maybe, if he was propped up on all fours, his butt aimed at the TV and someone held his buttocks open... |

Great thread title cause you can only see "Man get remote control" on the main page & you don't even have to open the thread to know where it gets stuck!
