Spanish version is indeed 'rabbit', French is in fact 'pig' as well.

I've also heard that the word 'Frankfurter' is pretty much accepted for those huge sausage things, apart from in Frankfurt, Germany. There they're apparently known as 'Wieners' or from Vienna. Seems nobody likes to take credit for their own creations...

"Berliner" are called that all over Germany, apart from Berlin, where they are known as "Pfannkuchen" (pancakes).

"Hamburger", on the other hand, are sold as "Hamburger" in Hamburg, too, and a "Kölsch" is the favorite beer in Köln (Cologne).
