Read This! Even IRS e-mails (gasp!) are probably a scam

The latest fashion that all the smart email forwarders are doing this year is to thoughtfully include in the opening sentence the "fact" that this has already been checked out by Snopes, so as to save the recipient the bother.

Yesterday I got one which said "this has been explained by Snopes." (it was one my husband sent me, he gets dozens a day from people he sends me the worst ones so we can mock them). It was one of the old gun ones with a new and still wrong IRS twist to it. I wrote him back - "yes, it has been explained by Snopes - that it's WRONG!"
