Parachuteless Skydiver

Summary: A guy jumps out of a plane without a parachute. He is accompanied by a few other skydivers, all wearing parachutes. After free-falling for a little while he joins up with one of the skydivers who (with the help of another skydiver) grabs onto him somehow and pulls his chute, bringing the chute-less guy down safely.

It looks pretty real, but there are so many viral advertising and amateur-looking commercials these days that I just can't tell anymore.

I vote fake, since the cameraman backs off so that it is impossible to tell that it is two people when the chute is popped.

And this. I know it's not the same guy, but it shows there are people who think of/do these things. I believe there's also a chow somewhere. I'll go look.

Interesting story. Pastrana definitely has brass cojones.
I still think the camera work is a bit crappy.
I never would have guessed a climbing harness under his shorts, but in watching the video again, you can see the guy with the parachuute messing with something on his harness before the camera backs off.

I know Travis. We compete in the same sport of performance rally with Rally America. He is much faster than me. I have beat him though when he crashed. He did jump out of an airplane without a parachute.

Now who is crazier, Travis or his co-driver?
