Harry Bensley was famed throughout Edwardian England for pushing a pram around the world while wearing an iron mask in a bid to win a fortune.

His exploits were captured on camera up and down the land as he apparently travelled from Trafalgar Square in London, to America, Japan, Egypt and Italy.

However, exactly 100 years after the epic six-year "expedition", Bensley has been exposed as a fraud who may never have left British shores.
