One that always annoys me and is quite common here, it to us "bungle" when they mean "bundle". As in "He was carrying a bungle of books".

That's funny. I've heard that around here, too, but the usage is different: "It was freezing, so he bungled up his coat."

I was trying to figure out the "ribald" one. Unlike the others, the person didn't confuse one word with another; (s)he simply misunderstood the sense of the word "dirty" used as a definition.
