Just finished the first 6 volumes of Andrew Martin's "Jim Stringer, Steam Detective" series. It's set in the early 1900s. The first book in the series was unpromising, but the subsequent books are okay (some are a bit formulaic) though they are all quite short at 250 pages on average. I won't be getting the 7th in the series though, I'm not that heavily into steam railways as a setting for detection novels!

Now starting Titania Hardie's "The House of the Wind".
