On a somewhat relate not, last year after certain natural disasters, including hurricanes Harvey and Maria, my employer set up a website where employees could donate to relief organizations and the company would make a matching donation. This year they didn't do that after Florence and Michael. Obviously I can still go and donate to the Red Cross on my own if I want to, but it would be nice if the company would match my donation. I don't know if if management just didn't consider this year's hurricanes as serious as last year's, or if they just cheaped out this year and didn't they didn't want to do matching donations anymore.
