I need to get this off my chest: I hate the 'Cutie Mark Crusaders' with a passion that burns. The whole cutie mark thing is creepy enough on its own, with your entire personality and life's path getting mapped out by what you like/are good at when you're a preteen. Factor in the way Applebloom's first episode treated it like another show would treat being the last girl in your class to get breasts or your period, and the way the older girls are encouraging their obsession gets disturbing. Aside from that, the girls themselves are just obnoxious. "I want my cutie mark" is their sole motivation and personality trait, so their episodes are just a string of random mishaps. And this is the second week in a row where Sweetie Belle has stolen from Rarity's shop with no consequences.

I hear ya.

I love the show, but this past episode (Show Stoppers) was my least favorite yet. Until then, I really didn't have a single least favorite episode, just ones I liked more than others. I really liked the previous one (Stare Master), but was admittedly a bit annoyed with two CMC episodes in a row.

Pinkie Pie is a natural wild mage. Lots of energy, zero organization skills, and whatever she does, the other players should run away really fast. If she is in the Planescape universe, Pinkie should not be given the Lady of Pain doll under any circumstances...whatsoever.

And now we know. It is possible for something to be more grating than the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and it is possible for a story to fail at its own moral even harder than the 'Pinkie Pie is psychic' episode.

I didn't think it was all that bad.

Rarity's been played up as prissy and fussy throughout the entire series, so it makes sense that she'd turn that to her advantage like that. Had the captive been Fluttershy, for example, the storyline might have had her getting the Diamond Dogs to feel sorry for her. Pinkie Pie would have annoyed them to death with constant babbling. Of course, Applejack and Rainbow Dash would have probably just fought their way out. The true "Tom Sawyer" tactic sounds more like something Twilight would do.

I bet ya'll thought the next Starcraft games were going to feature the Zerg and Protoss? Belay that order, Twilight Raynor, and prepare for the wrath of the ponyling rush!

Wow. Out of all the games to mix with MLP:FIM, Amnesia would never have crossed my mind. This reminds me that I once again wimped out in the middle of the game and should get back to it. But after the Cistern comes the Morgue. Maybe if I watch MLP while Daniel is hiding from abominations I can restore some of my sanity. Yeah, I'm aware that watching ponies singing Winter Wrap-Up is not exactly part of the developers' intentions for maximizing fear, but I'm hyper-timid. If I played in the recommended fashion (in the dark + headphones), I would have quit in a blind panic after entering Storage.
