Which all ignores the bigger fact that if you stop watching a show, for all intents and purposes, it has been canceled for you.

Not with the phenomenon of Hate-Watching...
|
But if you are hate watching something, you wouldn't want it to go away because you are deriving some benefit to watching it (catharsis, feeling superior, masochism, etc).
ETA: Or you actually like the show and are pretending not to (to themselves and/or others) because you feel it is "below" you. FETA: Was it Dukes of Hazzard where someone said it was the most popular show that no one watched? |
My FWP: my favorite local music festival just announced its lineup but there's no one I'm interested in seeing this year.

I keep getting Trump's Mar-a-Lago mixed up with the Native American-owned casino/resort which just opened in my county, which is called del Lago.

I just can't seem to get ahead on my schoolwork. No matter what I do, I'm always either somehow missing an assignment/reading, or just barely keeping up with whatever the day's specific deadlines are.
And this is with several class sessions being cancelled/meeting online. |
My phone sucks. It's ridiculously slow to load anything. I should be able to click on a FB notification and go to what I'm being notified about (e.g., a comment on a FB post), but instead it just opens Facebook. Since the notifications are useless, I tried to turn them off, and that didn't work. So I get these NFBSKing notifications cluttering up my screen and they are utterly useless to me.
ETA: Also, call me picky, but I like to be able to see PICTURES when I browse Facebook or a news site. FETA: Had 2 notifications on my screen just now. Tapped the first one, it took me to the comment I was being notified about. Tapped the second one. . . nothing happened except that the notification went away. This is the kind of thing that makes me struggle to contain my frustration. |
My Kindle has bitten the dust, forcing me to :gasp: use the tablet my dad got me. Now I need to figure out how to make the text on websites bigger.

I've eaten the last of the Valentine's Day chocolate. :c
I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore, but when I get a craving, I get it really bad. The past few days I just ate the candy because it was around, but now that I really, really want some, there isn't any left, and I've only myself to blame... |
That reminds me, I forgot to stop by Target the day after Valentine's Day to get some discounted chocolates. I guess I could stop by after work today, but I bet the good stuff is all gone by now.

I skipped lunch today and now I'm hungry enough that Taco Bell is starting to sound good. Just have to hang in for a little while longer, almost dinner time (and it's not Taco Bell)...

Crius, if you've been avoiding them for years, I can tell you that they've changed. I used to avoid them because they used a lot of onion in their foods. I was convinced to go there with some friends in the summer of 2015 and discovered that their food was completely different from what I remembered. It wasn't just changes in the menu; the recipes had obviously changed as well.
For a lot of things I still prefer Taco Time, though. Seaboe |
I miss Taco Time.
|
White chicken chili (sorry Lainie), soft bean burritos, and crustos are my favorite Taco Time menu items.

No need to apologize, I don't care if other people eat meat. :)

My cell phone hasn't been recognizing the charger that came with it as being the proper charger. It says, "The phone will charger faster if you use the charger that came with it." That, and the plug that goes into the phone gets really, really hot after only a short time plugged in.
I took the phone and charger to the Verizon store, and apparently they determined that the problem is that I have the charger plugged into an extension cord. I need to have the charger plugged directly into a wall outlet. I need to use the extension cord because there isn't an outlet close enough to my side of the bed. When I'm on call I won't be able to answer the phone without having to get out of bed. Also, when the battery is low I won't be able to lay in bed and play on the phone with it plugged in. :( |
So that's why my phone doesn't recognize the charger? I have everything plugged into power strips I can turn off to avoid draining power when not in use.
|
Could be. I'd get verification from my cell phone provider first, but that's apparently what was wrong with mine.
|
TGG, is it plugged into a power strip, or just an extension cord with one outlet at the end? I'm wondering if that makes a difference, because I've been successfully plugging phone chargers into power strips for probably a decade or more.
