Comment: I just moved to New York, and I've been told by
long-time residents about all kinds of ways to get injured or killed here.
So, I would like to know:

1) Do people really get electrocuted and die from stepping on subway
grates, manholes, cellar doors, especially if it's been hot and rainy?

2) If a man standing on the subway platform urinates onto the tracks and
his urine stream hits the electrified third rail, will he get electrocuted
and die?

3) Do a lot of people die from objects falling or dropping from
apartments overhead? Most notably glass bottles and air conditioning
units?

4) Do a number of New Yorkers lose an eye every year due to getting poked
by the umbrella spindles of other careless, fast-walking pedestrians?
