Recalling days of despair in the Superdome
More than 20,000 sweated it out in the damaged New Orleans stadium after Katrina. Guess how many showed up for a reunion.

I watched part of a show on television about the days after Katrina. I had to turn it off because it was so depressing.

It still amazes me what went on after the storm. Even now there are so many things we don't know about and still so many rumors.

Many still blame the people for New Orleans for not getting out. I can't. I've been through enough hurricane seasons to know how hard it is to prepare for a storm, even evacuate, only to have nothing happen. After a few years of this even those with the means to prepare and leave stop worrying about it.

I suspect the reunion just wasn't sufficiently advertised.

I agree with Penny. People are naturally curious and a few would have shown up for that reason. A few more for the possibility of free food or T-shirts or some other giveaway.

The fact that no one showed seems to indicate that people were not aware of the event.

I'd certainly never heard of it & I often spend hours on the net reading about current events.

I will not make a joke about it being organized by FEMA. You're welcome.
