Comment: Do I recall correctly that it was or is possible to look up old
friends on your site?

snopes 01 November 2011 11:53 PM

At the bottom it says to send this to 20 people. but it does not say how
we can actually make his idea happen. So how do we get it done?

Comment: I'm attempting to find out why I keep getting these bogus e-mails
from nasha and what can be done to stop receiving them.

It seems that you folks have investigated and compiled information about

I have gone to their web site, explained I have had no business with them
and do not plan to, their answer was glib at best.

I have found no indication that any accounts have been tampered with but
it would appear something felonious is in the works due to the frequincy
of these e-mails.

On average I receive two per week and am interested in helping to put an
end to this obnoxiousness.

Comment: I have held info from your site as God's truth. I do have a
problem: Why does the site not have the "s" in https? that would
guarantee that this is, in fact, a safe site?

snopes 03 January 2012 11:40 PM

This article you have marked as "false". It is actually true--except the
portion that claims Paul Allen "of Microsoft...".

Thus, would you please at least change this from "false" to "somewhat
true" (or the equivalent).

Comment: Article about real people as Pez dispensers. I clearly remember
Richard Nixon and owned a Ronald Reagan dispenser. I thought there were
other peresidents manufactured. If so wwere thay not manufactured by PEZ,
is that the distinction. Also wouldn't the BOZO dispenser still be a real
person though a clown.

Comment: I used to really look forward to your e-mails and reading your
site, but I am getting really tired of it.
When I get your e=mail bulletin, I look it over and click on anything I
find interesting.
Problem is, it seems lately, there are never any true rumors, just false
ones. Somewhere, there is an internet rumor that turns out to be true, and
I'm sure some people, maybe even a lot of people, would be interested in
hearing about it.

Chloe 23 April 2012 05:10 PM

wikisnopes! Now there's an idea...

GenYus234 23 April 2012 05:14 PM

I agree that it is an idea.

Regarding the previous email, is the writer blaming/complaining to Snopes for the fact that many/most of the emails that are going around are false?

I just hope it isn't Snopes who's asking. :D

Comment: To Barbara Mikkelson,

Re: Lighthouse Vs. the Navy.

My main point of contention is....the premise of that story being
considered false by Snopes is that the military/Navy denied it???

Come on....when has the military NOT denied something to cover it's ass or
protect it's image???

This could be possible, whether now or 30 years ago....and who knows from
what country or military but it is possible.

The one from the British is totally apropos considering their level of
arrogance but it could also suit our military...still it fits the Brits
more than anything!!

Either way, having that as the main reason it's false seem shaky at best
given the history of the military's tendency to deny every and anything it
could possibly be involved with.
Something to think about :)

Comment: I can't believe that some would think Democrats hate God. Most
of my friends are Democrats and Christians and we certainly Love God. I
think some of your rumors are very hurtful and perhaps should not be
published as many would think they are true.

Comment: British Airways is currently enduring a massive phishing scam to
its customers with fraudulent e-mails purporting to confirm bookings and
download the itinerary. The e-mail cites a booking reference and gives a
perfectly authentic appearance. BA has now posted a warning on its
website. Query: How did the scammer learn of the British Air customers
who had recently booked flights?

Comment: It was told on facebook that the CDC (center for disease control)
has made zombie survival kits that contain everything a person would need
to survive a zombie apocolypse. I was just wondering if this was true and
WHY they would actually have something like that when there will never be

Comment: I wanted to check out a Doctor but found it impossible. How can
I use your site?

Auburn Red 23 February 2013 07:14 PM

Let me check their schedule to see who's available, let's see Doctor Who, House, Livingstone, Watson, Jekyll (but you may have to get his assistant Mr. Hyde as well), and Barbie (very nice, sharp dresser, but a little plastic).

So do you have a particular preference?

Comment: Reading over the e-mail "Little Boys Explaination of God"
and find your web sites UNDETERMINED status actually sort of sad.
It is apparent your writers are taking a very ficticious stand on this
issue of GOD, and from what I gather, don't see God as being of
significant importance.
I have spent 10 years checking all sorts of web mails against your
criteria and 'Expertise'and have actually used it as sort of 'LAW' in
determining fact from fiction.
Well, today I will get to share with you.Somethings you are not able to
explain,,, you never will, yet they are present, do indeed exist, and are
indeed ,very significant. Trust me on this guys, God is real, and no way
Snopes can explain it, it is still a fact.
