A poem for the first day of Spring

I think it's a poem that will really speak to a lot of people.

I like the smell of rotting leaves.

That's the smell of topsoil being created.

(I suppose they might smell different if they're rotting in a heap on a concrete sidewalk, instead of properly in the woods with the right soil bacteria and fungi available to them.)

This weekend I was reminded that March in NE Ohio is mud season. It's not really a problem for me usually at home (Columbus gets less snow, thus less snowmelt mud, plus I don't encounter as many gravel drives and sidewalks here).

Dunno. Went down the beach for swim today after work, Swanbourne nuddy beach because I didn't take boardies, yet was covered in grout and cement.

Really had to actually try not be an auld perve, I won at the cost of looking like a cloud spotter.

I found out that I am average, thank you for your concern, but what's winter?

So T. Rexes got seasonal allergies too? Who knew? Unlike the one pictured, it is not nice.

Spring is sprung,
The grass is riz,
I wonder where,
the birdy is.
