Things you shouldn't have to tell yourself

Dawn, the next time you need to make a phone call, go to a place with a better reception! Don't assume that because you hear the other phone ringing clearly, the conversation will be loud and clear.

Stay off the internet when you're in a bad mood--your posts reflect that, and people (very reasonably) get annoyed.

When TB reading a nervous bull, yoke the poor bugger or he'll squash your arm between himself and the side of the crush. You know, like he did. Luckily, just bruising and a very superficial scrape, but he could've snapped my arm. Silly me.

Seaboe Muffinchucker 30 March 2015 02:30 PM

Dutch Angua, for a minute there I forgot you were a vet, and the first part of that had me scratching my head. I almost thought you were I'm Not Daedalus in disguise.

TYSHTTY: If the dog has trouble with a four mile walk on Saturday, taking him on a three mile walk on Sunday is going to scrape both your tempers.

Get some spending money before you head out to a place you're not too familiar with, instead of having to go to a 'foreign' ATM and paying the fee!

No matter how right you may be, there are few more pointless activities than arguing with idiots on the Internet.

No there's not

Seaboe Muffinchucker 16 April 2015 02:02 PM

GM, are you saying there are a lot more pointless activities than arguing with idiots on the internet? Such as contradicting them?

;)

I've told you once.

Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?

Seaboe Muffinchucker 17 April 2015 02:12 PM

It's not an argument; it's a question. ;)

I shouldn't have to tell myself that taking Ferdinand on a longer walk in the morning is going to mean I leave later for work.

It was worth it, though. This time.

Hiring someone to cut the grass is not being lazy! Considering the ordeal you've been through since doing the job yourself, it's worth it. Besides, you'll now have more time to concentrate on the garden areas. Just remember to wear a mask!

Seaboe Muffinchucker 29 April 2015 02:16 PM

Especially if hiring someone is going to get the job done more regularly and better.

I keep telling myself that one, too, DS, but still haven't hired someone to mow. I'm too much of a control freak in this area: I'd only want them to use electric equipment (no gas engines).

Have you considered renting a goat to do your lawncare?

DawnStorm 30 April 2015 01:34 AM

It's tempting.

A Turtle Named Mack 30 April 2015 11:50 AM

I have been sorely tempted to get a small pet goat due to the infestation of English ivy all over my yard. The article mentions poison ivy, but that is easy to kill. English ivy is a much more tenacious pest. I am told that little lambs eat ivy and a kid'll eat ivy, too.

A delivery window from7:30 to 11:30 is almost certain to mean they will show up at 11:29...not 7:31.

Unless you need to run out quickly and will be back by 7:35.

Very nice, both of you. I have a friend who breeds goats, so I know I don't want one. They're much better escape artists than my dog, and I don't want to spend my time trying to fence them in.

Thank you for the suggestion, though.
