Slice of Pi
 

The House Bill no. 246 was not trying to revalue pi. The bill was suggesed by Edward J. Goodwin who believed that he had discovered a correct way of squaring the circle. The bill actually does not mention pi.

Goodwin was in error and that was made known. (With puns and jokes I am sure.)

Hah, shows what they know. Having grown up in Alabama, I know the most popular cariety is a cobbler, so our pi are squared!

The bill declared that "The ratio of the diameter and circumference [of a circle] is as five-fourths to four," which essentially defines pi to be 3.2.
